2008 6 30 Palmers first week day in Virginia!

We found this incredible turtle that could completely enclosed itself in its shell. The shell actually would move, covering up EVERYTHING. Can anyone help me out on what kind of turtle this is?









Isaac and the twins enjoyed some hands on interaction with this turtle that was found just outside our rooms!















Our unit has its rooms above another unit. We are fairly high up in the mountain, although my gps says we are about 2200 feet above sea level.








Erica was up early and had a tennis clinic at 8 a.m. on serving. Then Beth joined her at 9:00 a.m. for an adult / youth tennis clinic. They were the only ones that signed up so they had TWO INSTRUCTORS working with them one on one for an entire hour!!!!
At 9:30 a.m. Emily went lap swimming
FOR AN HOUR !!! Go girl - wow!

Anna and Abigail hit the pool until it rained. They were joined by Beth and Erica for disc golf while Emily and Isaac hit the links. Enjoyed some great deer. Mark did alot of shuttling and caring for items in the rooms (like learning how to do this blog!).
